The Japanese Knotweed infestation is excavated and relocated to a more convenient area on the site where it can be stockpiled on a geo-textile membrane. The stockpile is generally no more than 500mm in height. Once the stockpile is created it is securely fenced off to avoid any cross-site contamination occurring. The stockpile is then entered within an approved herbicidal remediation programme and upon completion, the soil may be used elsewhere on site.
